FSSC 22000 Certification
Masterol Foods are proud to announce that we have recently achieved full FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) 22000 accreditation for our NSW site. FSSC 22000 is based on existing ISO Standards and includes both the requirements for a Food Safety Management System found in ISO 22000, and the requirements for Prerequisite Programs found in ISO/TS 22002-1.
The FSSC 22000 System was designed to provide companies in the food industry with an ISO based Food Safety Management System certification that is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). A Food Safety Management System is recognised by GFSI when it meets internationally recognised minimum food safety requirements. The industry driven initiative aims to provide continuous improvement in food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers worldwide.
In light of recent high profile food recalls, it can be said that the adoption of a comprehensive food safety system such as FSSC 22000 is more important than ever to enhance food safety, ensure consumer protection, and to strengthen consumer confidence. We aim to continually improve our food safety program and processes, and are now working towards FSSC 22000 certification for our Carole Park, QLD site, with a target date of early 2016.
