Valley Pride VegeLite
Valley Pride VegeLite is a fluid shortening which is pourable at room temperature. It is much lower in saturated fat than traditional shortenings and margarines. VegeLite is economical in use, allowing the level of shortening to be reduced by up to 20%– ideal for applications where minimising overall fat content is critical such as products for school canteens. Doughs made with VegeLite feature excellent strength and extensibility, do not shrink and tend to release easily from trays. Because VegeLite disperses readily, mixing times may be reduced. VegeLite is suitable for use in a wide range of bakery products including pie bottoms, quiche bases, biscuits and cookies.
