Wafer Trend

Water Trend is a fluid shortening designed to speed up the process of adding fats to flour-based batters and mixes. With plastic or hard fats, the shortening in the mix tends to coat the particles of flour and other dry ingredients. In contrast, Wafer Trend helps the water to penetrate the fat layer and hydrate the starch particles.

It promotes the formation of a smooth, uniform batter that reacts smoothly to heat when it is baked. The emulsifiers incorporated into Wafer Trend increase its tenderising properties and minimise toughening of the dough. When compared with alternatives, Wafer Trend is easier to mix so requires less mixing time.

Application
Wafer Trend is intended for use as a shortening in wafers and ice cream cones. It may be used in a wide range of doughs, batters and mixes where flour is the main ingredient.

Packaging

Product is offered in a range of pack sizes including 10 and 20 litre / kg packs, 205 litre drums and 1000 litre IBC and Pallecon. The product type and usage conditions often play a part in determining the appropriate pack size and type for a given application. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
